TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

Waitotara Valley Estate Ltd trading as Rumbling Adventures New Zealand is committed to providing you with an enjoyable and unforgettable experience and our top priority is your safety and welfare. Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By submitting a booking to us and using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Bookings are accepted on the understanding that the client understands the possible risks inherent in motorcycle riding and operating an adventure motorcycle. Waitotara Valley Estate Limited t/a Rumbling Adventures New Zealand reserves the right to alter or amend the Terms and Conditions at any time, without notice. Any such amendments shall be effective immediately. 

 

“Waitotara Valley Estate Limited trading as Rumbling Adventures New Zealand” (hereinafter referred to as 'RUMBLING ADVENTURES') and “You” (hereinafter referred to as ‘RIDER’) accept these Terms and Conditions as a binding contract between Rumbling Adventures New Zealand and yourself.  

  1. BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY

  1.1  RUMBLING ADVENTURES Booking Policy

  • All prices shown are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD)

  • A deposit of NZD1,500 is required to secure a RIDER’s place on the ride and confirm your motorcycle selection from available models.

  • Deposit payments are to be made by Credit Card or Bank Transfer. All deposits are non-refundable

  • An invoice will be sent to the RIDER for the outstanding balance with full payment due 30 days or more before the ride departure. Payment can be made via Bank Transfer or Credit Card.

  • All Credit Card payments attract a 3.3 % surcharge.

  • If RUMBLING ADVENTURES has not received the RIDER’s final payment within 30 days before the start of the tour, the deposit will be forfeited and the booking cancelled.

  • A Bond of NZD2,500.00 is required per motorcycle hire at the commencement of the ride. (See Insurance terms and conditions.)

  • All prices include New Zealand Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 15%

  1.2  RUMBLING ADVENTURE Cancellation Policy

  1.2.1  PARTICIPANT CANCELLATION

  • If cancelled 30 days before the start of the ride we will refund the RIDER what the RIDER has paid for the ride, less the non-refundable deposit.

  • If cancelled within 30 days of the start date 100% of the ride cost will be forfeited.

  • If the RIDER is a no-show at the scheduled start time of the ride for any reason, 100% of the ride cost will be forfeited.

  • We advise the RIDER to take out personal travel insurance for any unforeseen circumstances that would prevent the RIDER from attending the ride.


 

  1.2.2  RIDE CANCELLATIONS

RUMBLING ADVENTURES reserves the right to cancel any scheduled ride at any time due to lack of participation, severe weather, natural disaster, pandemic or any other given reason whatsoever.

If any ride is cancelled, RUMBLING ADVENTURES will:

  • Immediately notify the RIDER of any such occurrence, and

  • Not be liable for any additional cost or losses incurred by the RIDER due to a cancellation of any ride. This may include, but not be limited to:

    • Other accommodation reservations

    • Travelling cost

    • Other pre-planned expenses

  • Offer the possibility of rescheduling another ride on another date, or will refund the ride deposit and ride balance less any deposits paid to cover pre- booked accommodation, activities and admin fees etc. which will constitute a full settlement.

 

  2. TOUR REQUIREMENTS

  • Full motorcycle licence valid for riding in New Zealand, or an international driver's permit.

  • Minimum age 21 years old

  • Experience - Our rides are not suitable for beginner riders. It is preferred for RIDERS to have off-road riding experience, and be able to handle a mid-size  adventure motorcycle off the asphalt / sealed highway environment.

 

  3. MOTORCYCLE CHOICE & AVAILABILITY

  • RUMBLING ADVENTURES  provides the motorcycles for the tour.

  • Riders will be notified which models are available at the time of booking.

  • There is a limited number of each make and model motorcycle available for each ride.

  • Motorcycles are available on a first come first served basis and your first choice motorcycle may not be available for the ride at the time of booking.

 

  4. RIDER FITNESS, HEALTH & SAFETY

The RIDER enters into a ride contract with RUMBLING ADVENTURES  and in doing so are stating that they are in suitable physical and mental condition, and that they are capable of participating on the tour without risk to themselves or others.

The RIDER:

  • is responsible for riding at their own pace and level of experience at all times during the ride, and 

  • should at no time exceed any of the local traffic laws, speed limits or their riding experience level, 

  • is prohibited from exceeding laws in relation to the consumption of alcoholic beverages while operating any vehicle/ motorcycle during a ride, or the taking of ANY drugs that may impair judgement while riding.


 

  5. INSURANCE TERMS & CONDITIONS

  5.1  Motorcycle Insurance

  • Full comprehensive motorcycle insurance is included in the ride  for motorcycles belonging to RUMBLING ADVENTURES.

 

  5.2  Security Deposit (BOND)

  • Before the start of the ride a bond of NZD 2,500.00 is required to be held for each motorcycle from the RUMBLING ADVENTURES fleet in the event of any damage or loss to either the motorcycle, any accessories or third party property. This sum is fully refundable if the motorcycle and any accessories are returned at the end of the ride without any damage, loss or expense. Any damage will be deducted from the insurance bond with the balance being refunded. The RIDER’s maximum liability is limited to the full insurance bond plus any cost of recovery of the motorcycle. (All damages paid by credit card will incur a 3.3 % credit card surcharge.) 

  • The RIDER shall pay the bond  in full by credit card, debit card, cash or electronic funds transfer and the amount will be held for the duration of the ride.

 

  6. EVENT INFORMATION

 

RUMBLING ADVENTURES reserves the right to accept or deny anybody from participating on any RUMBLING ADVENTURES ride. RUMBLING ADVENTURES does not and will not discriminate against any sex, race or religion. RUMBLING ADVENTURES owners, operators or riding guides may for any reason deny a RIDER’s continuance of the tour if they feel that the RIDER is a danger or a disruption to himself or herself, the tour group or the general public. Any RIDER denied continuance of the ride is responsible for his or her own accommodation, meals, airport shuttle services or any other costs incurred as a result of their denial. No refunds will be issued to any RIDER who is denied continuance of a RUMBLING ADVENTURES ride.

RUMBLING ADVENTURES reserves the right to cancel a participants tour and motorcycle rental agreement at once by giving either verbal or written notice for any infraction of the above, or if we reasonably believe that your driving is negligent, careless or will likely cause danger to themselves or anyone else.

 

  7. EXTRA FEES & CHARGES

Traffic and/or parking violation fines during the ride or that come in after the ride are the RIDER’s responsibility. These need to be paid by the RIDER or will be charged to the RIDER’s nominated method of payment.



 

  8. PRIVACY POLICY

 

RUMBLING ADVENTURES values our customers and respects their privacy. Privacy laws place requirements on us to treat certain information collected as confidential, to store information securely and to allow you access to check and correct your information. We comply with the Privacy Act 2020 and recognise the trust you place in us through your dealings with us. We take all reasonable steps to maintain that trust. Under law, your rights to privacy are also protected.
